The Holy Grail of Earl Nightingale, Strangest Secret [CDAudioBook]
Earl Nightingale; (March 12, 1921 – March 25, 1989) was an American motivational speaker who was born in Los Angeles, California. Earl Nightingale was on the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbour. After the War Earl began work in the radio industry, which eventually led to work as a motivational speaker. In 1956 Earl produced a spoken-word record, The Strangest Secret, which sold over a million copies, making it the first spoken-word recording to achieve Gold Record status.
By 1956, Earl Nightingale had already soared to successful heights as a Network radio announcer: the voice of Sky King; and host of his own daily radio and television show. Expanding his horizon, he bought a small Life Insurance company, insuring its success by giving encouraging, inspiring, motivational talks to his sales staff. Then because he was going to be away, Earl wrote and recorded on a record, an essay that could be played during his absence. He called it THE STRANGEST SECRET. The response to the message had such an impact on the staff that requests for copies to share with friends and families grew. Columbia Records filled the requests and with in a short period of time sales soared to over a million copies, earning a Gold Record - the first and only spoken word record to ever read Gold! Prescription for success: listen twice a month for the next ten years. Then once a month forever.
